Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Data Center Construction
Manage cost control and financial reporting for large data center construction projects.

About the Role
• Support and manage cost control for multi-phase data-center projects. • Develop and maintain cost plans, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and track actuals versus forecasts. • Review and validate change orders and payment applications for compliance and cost justification. • Assist procurement activities including bid analysis, vendor pre-qualification, contractor negotiations and bid leveling. • Prepare cost reports, executive dashboards and client presentation materials. • Track contingencies, commitments and contribute to value-engineering initiatives. • Conduct risk analysis, update commercial risk registers and mitigate cost impacts. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in governance meetings. • Implement and improve cost-management tools, templates and reporting standards. • Manage final accounting, post-contract audits and lessons-learned reviews. • Ensure adherence to SOX controls where applicable.

What You Bring
The company is hiring an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to serve as the day-to-day client interface for a large-scale, mission-critical data-center program. The role ensures delivery on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards, emphasizing governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. It follows a hybrid schedule of three onsite days per week in Maiden, NC, with two remote days. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field (graduate degree preferred). • 3–6 years of cost-management or project-controls experience in construction, preferably data-center or high-tech projects. • Construction consultancy experience and RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is a plus. • Strong knowledge of cost-management processes, procurement strategies, value engineering and risk management. • Proficiency in cost-management software and advanced Excel for detailed cost modelling. • Excellent communication, organizational and stakeholder-management skills.
