About the Role

The Engineering Project Manager – Transmission Line will oversee high‑voltage transmission projects, providing engineering expertise and technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role coordinates field operations, customer account management, procurement, and stakeholder engagement across the QISG platform. The position demands strategic collaboration with leadership, oversight of engineering service providers, and enforcement of quality and documentation standards. It also includes responsibility for staffing, mentorship, business development support, and promoting a culture of safety and innovation. • Collaborate with engineering and operational leadership to set technical goals and oversee engineering work. • Serve as technical lead through concept, preliminary, detailed design, construction, and closeout phases, including site visits. • Manage performance of engineering service providers by establishing and reviewing key performance indicators. • Develop and enforce engineering controls and quality‑assurance standards. • Ensure internal documentation and standards comply with company and customer requirements. • Plan and manage engineering staffing, resource allocation, and training strategies. • Mentor and train engineering staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and integrity. • Participate in business development activities such as client meetings, proposal development, and project planning. • Drive innovation and efficiency by integrating new technologies and best practices into engineering processes. • Represent QISG at industry forums, conferences, and professional associations to enhance reputation.

What You Bring

Candidates should have extensive experience in electric utility engineering, an engineering degree (PE preferred), and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex, high‑voltage projects within budget and schedule. • Minimum 10 years experience in electric utility engineering or management of high‑voltage projects. • B.S. or graduate degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program; PE license preferred. • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects on schedule and budget. • Strong knowledge of utility engineering and construction standards, project controls, and relevant codes (ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, NESC). • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with business acumen for budget management.
