About the Role

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inventorying, storing, and issuing materials while ensuring proper tracking and control. The role also includes equipment inspections for power tools, lighting, and safety gear. • Receive, count, and unpack stock items, updating inventory records. • Store materials in organized locations and label them appropriately. • Notify or deliver items to the appropriate department upon arrival. • Maintain continuous inventory tracking and control. • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas for safety compliance. • Determine proper storage methods based on turnover, environment, and facility capabilities. • Record usage or damage of stock and handling equipment. • Inspect stock for wear or defects and report issues to supervisors. • Assist or direct other warehouse and storage workers. • Use hand tools such as hammers and drills to open or crate materials as needed. • Accurately count received items and maintain organization.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least four years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance warehousing, a reliable means of transportation, and a valid driver’s license. A TWIC card is required, and applicants must be able to meet all physical demands of the job. No specific certifications or licenses are required beyond the driver’s license and TWIC card. The position emphasizes adherence to Zachry’s safety rules and company values. • Minimum 4 years experience in industrial construction/maintenance warehouse roles. • Working knowledge of construction processes and plant equipment. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Basic computer proficiency with SAP experience required. • Ability to follow directions and use hand/power tools. • TWIC card required. • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work as needed. • Valid driver’s license. • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. • Strong reading comprehension and teamwork abilities. • Experience with industrial hand and power tools (preferred). • Prior Zachry Group employment or related certifications (valued). • Formal education in construction, technical, or trade fields (valued). • Experience with inventory control, material kitting, expediting, or forklift operation (valued).
