About the Role
The Strategic Account Manager, Datacenter Solutions serves as BASX Solutions authorized interface for many of BASX Solutions data center customers. The successful candidate will be the responsible leader on multiple datacenter accounts and must be able to develop and manage numerous client relationships through effective account planning and execution. This person will report to the Director – Datacenter Sales and will be expected to work effectively with peers, maintain strategic account plans and an accurate and up-to-date pipeline to meet or exceed annual sales objectives. Engage, qualify, and create relationship alignment within each account while maintaining and expanding annual revenue and margin for our datacenter solutions equipment portfolio. Clearly understand client goals and help achieve key business outcomes, using business acumen to adapt the BASX Solutions value proposition to unique requirements. Serve as the primary escalation point for customer satisfaction issues and translate technical information for diverse audiences. Lead complex contract negotiations covering pricing, terms, service level agreements, and multi‑year commitments. Build and maintain internal relationships across sales and operations, coordinating with internal contacts and key customer partners to ensure successful pre‑ and post‑sales support. Provide client‑facing input to product teams on existing products, development pipelines, integration capabilities, and new product development. • Develop and manage multiple datacenter accounts through strategic planning and execution. • Engage, qualify, and align relationships within each account to drive revenue and margin growth. • Serve as primary escalation point for customer satisfaction issues. • Translate technical information for internal and external audiences. • Lead complex contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, SLAs, and multi‑year commitments. • Coordinate pre‑ and post‑sales support by building internal and customer partner relationships. • Provide client feedback to product teams on existing and future datacenter solutions.

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related experience plus 5+ years in data center sales or business development is required. Demonstrated data‑center intelligence, strategic account planning, and end‑user relationship management skills are essential. Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows, willingness to travel 50‑75% and reside near a major airport, and practical knowledge of data‑center design and construction are also required. Essential mental functions include effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, decision‑making, analytical problem‑solving, multitasking, organization, and the ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑pressure team environments. Physical functions require lifting up to 50 lb, sitting or standing for most work hours, and occasional visits to manufacturing facilities with exposure to temperature extremes, dust, and chemicals. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field. • Possess 5+ years of data center sales or business development experience. • Demonstrate strong data‑center knowledge, strategic account planning, and relationship management. • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio; willing to travel 50‑75% and reside near a major airport. • Exhibit excellent communication, decision‑making, analytical, multitasking, and teamwork skills. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in varied manufacturing environments.
