About the Role

The Operator role at Mortenson involves operating various heavy‑equipment as directed, adhering to safety policies and procedures, and maintaining orderly housekeeping. • Operate a range of heavy equipment including blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid‑steer, boom lifts, roller, backhoe, and track crane • Follow safety regulations and maintain clear housekeeping • Perform routine maintenance, monitor equipment operation, and detect malfunctions • Build relationships with personnel from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

What You Bring

The position requires equipment certifications, at least one year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements, and the ability to read and follow safety rules, operating manuals, and load charts. Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork, a positive attitude, professional customer service, attention to detail, basic math skills, and effective communication, as well as the physical capacity to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 50 lb (with assistance for heavier loads).
