About the Role

The Senior Director (CRE) provides senior-level oversight of multiple accounts or a specific geography, acting as the primary contact for integrating service platforms and ensuring consistent, sound practices. This role partners with Property Management senior leadership to manage, lead, and develop staff, while also driving client care and development programs and identifying new business development opportunities. Key responsibilities include expanding service opportunities with existing and new clients, ensuring full utilization of Cushman & Wakefield tools, and participating in monthly calls to share best practices and generate leads. The Director establishes quality checks, monitors expenditures, guarantees timely and accurate financial reporting, maintains senior client relationships, and oversees the development of client care programs and updated property procedures. Additional duties involve providing training, interfacing with accounting and quality‑control leaders, participating in national task forces, supervising commercial portfolio staff, conducting annual performance reviews, analyzing staffing and compensation needs, preparing and approving annual budgets, administering special projects, and monitoring portfolio profitability. • Identify and expand service opportunities with new and existing clients • Ensure compliance and full utilization of Cushman & Wakefield tools and resources • Participate in monthly calls to share best practices and generate leads for institutional clients • Establish and monitor checks and balances to maintain high‑quality operations and exceed client expectations • Review and approve expenditures that exceed established authority levels • Guarantee timely and accurate financial and management reporting in line with client and company policies • Assist property/account managers in maintaining relationships with senior client decision makers • Develop and maintain an ongoing client care and development program • Verify and update property procedures such as Operations Manual, Tenant Handbook, and Emergency Procedures • Provide training and professional development aligned with Property Management policies • Interface with accounting leaders and quality‑control teams for performance feedback and audits • Participate in national Property Management task forces and external committees • Direct, supervise, and coach commercial portfolio staff; conduct annual performance reviews • Analyze staffing needs, performance issues, salary administration, promotions, and career development • Oversee preparation and client approval of annual budgets for the commercial property portfolio • Administer special projects assigned by the Managing Director • Monitor portfolio profitability and recommend actions for unprofitable assignments • Travel regularly between properties, adapting to varied weather and geographic locations

What You Bring

Essential competencies are financial acumen, leadership, strong oral and written communication, client focus, and time management. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, at least 10 years of commercial property management experience, 8+ years in supervisory or executive sales management, CPM and/or RPA senior‑leadership experience, and extensive lease and contract negotiation expertise. A real‑estate license, professional designations, and active charitable leadership are preferred, along with a thorough understanding of financial reporting and a proven ability to generate new business. The role operates in a professional office setting with standard equipment and involves regular travel between properties, often in varying outdoor conditions. Physical demands include frequent communication, computer use, remaining stationary for most of the time, and occasional movement and lifting as required by the job. • Demonstrate financial acumen, leadership, communication proficiency, client focus, and time‑management skills • Hold a bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline • possess 10+ years of commercial property management experience and 8+ years of supervisory or executive sales management experience • Have CPM and/or RPA senior‑leadership experience and extensive lease/contract negotiation expertise • Maintain a Real Estate License; professional industry designation and charitable leadership preferred • Exhibit strong financial reporting, variance analysis, and new‑business development capabilities
