About the Role

A Driver – CDL(A) safely operates heavy commercial trucks, including tractor‑trailers or straight trucks with pup trailers, to deliver and remove large containers. The driver ensures vehicle compliance with company safety standards, adheres to all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Key duties include conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, operating the truck along assigned routes, loading and compacting refuse, and delivering waste to designated facilities. The driver interacts courteously with customers and dispatchers, performs minor container repairs, tags unsatisfactory containers, monitors waste for prohibited materials, cleans accidental spills, and maintains vehicle cleanliness. Daily route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports are also required. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, checking tires, fluids, safety equipment, and controls. • Safely operate the truck along assigned routes, load and compact refuse, and deliver to disposal sites. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service. • Perform minor container repairs and tag unsatisfactory containers. • Monitor waste for prohibited materials and clean accidental spills according to safety standards. • Maintain vehicle cleanliness by removing waste from containers on each trip. • Complete daily route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports.

What You Bring

The role requires strong customer service skills, effective time management, and diligent follow‑through on tasks. Candidates must demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, and pride in their work, and be able to adhere to company policies and safety standards. Two years of commercial truck driving experience is preferred, along with mechanical aptitude for minor repairs. A Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement is mandatory.
