About the Role
The Senior HR Generalist will partner with the HR Manager to support the development, implementation and administration of Human Resources policies, practices, strategies and services across the Roanoke, VA plant. This role provides leadership for a broad array of HR generalist activities, including recruitment & selection, onboarding, employee and leadership coaching & development, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes. In this role you will drive a positive employee experience to create an optimal work environment, deploy communication plans and use assessment tools such as employee surveys to identify organizational issues and develop action plans. You will support employee relations activities including supervisory coaching, investigations, and discipline, and strengthen retention and engagement through standardized onboarding and orientation processes. You will coach and influence leadership on policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure compliance and an engaged culture, act as the local subject‑matter expert for employee benefits and payroll, coordinate benefits enrollment and communications, generate and analyze regular and ad‑hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting and auditing purposes, and facilitate end‑employment processes for voluntary and involuntary separations. You will assist in developing and deploying effective training processes aligned with strategic plans, prepare and distribute HR‑related communications, and update and maintain HR policies and procedures. • Partner with HR Manager to develop, implement, and administer HR policies and services at the Roanoke plant. • Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee/leadership coaching and development initiatives. • Drive positive employee experience and optimal work environment through communication plans and employee surveys. • Support employee relations activities, including supervisory coaching, investigations, and disciplinary actions. • Strengthen retention and engagement by establishing standardized onboarding and orientation processes. • Coach leadership on compliance with policies, laws, and regulations to foster an engaged culture. • Serve as local subject‑matter expert for benefits and payroll, coordinating with centralized HR and payroll teams. • Coordinate benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and related processes. • Generate and analyze regular and ad‑hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting, and auditing purposes. • Facilitate end‑employment processes for both voluntary and involuntary separations. • Develop and deploy training programs aligned with the organization’s strategic plans. • Prepare and distribute HR‑related communications and maintain HR policies and procedures.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required, along with at least two years of HR or labor‑relations experience. Preference is given to candidates with a master’s degree in Business or Human Resources, prior manufacturing experience, and PHR or SPHR certification. • Hold a bachelor’s degree and minimum two years of HR/labor‑relations experience. • Preferred: master’s degree in Business or HR, manufacturing experience, and PHR or SPHR certification.
