About the Role
The Industrial Market Sector Leader is responsible for program growth, client development, market diversification, and talent recruitment, working closely with local, regional, and national leaders to meet growth expectations through new revenue, diversified work, and strong client relationships. The role may also serve as project manager or technical lead, guiding teams, managing scope, and communicating status to clients and HDR leadership. • Grow, monitor, and execute HDR’s Industrial services portfolio, partnering with business development leaders to anticipate market trends and diversify client work. • Identify and pursue consulting, advisory, owner's engineering, asset management, due‑diligence, and planning opportunities for clients in mining, agribusiness, oil & gas, and advanced manufacturing. • Network with clients to formulate, assess, and implement development projects. • Establish external teaming relationships to support program growth. • Develop industry relationships, represent HDR in relevant associations, and serve as a role model in business and community organizations. • Provide leadership and project management, ensuring appropriate staffing and quality execution; serve as Principal‑in‑Charge on select projects. • Align resources and technical expertise with workload and marketing efforts by coordinating with Business Group Manager, Industrial Practice Leaders, and Business Development Leaders. • Drive client growth locally and regionally, including recruiting and hiring staff to support business development and marketing plans. • Support work‑sharing efforts by coordinating with local operations and business group leadership. • Lead and motivate staff to achieve growth goals.

What You Bring
Preferred and required qualifications include a PE license and PMP certification (preferred), a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, at least 10 years of industry experience, proven ability to develop strategic marketing programs, manage client relationships, recruit and develop staff, and maintain a visible profile in industry associations.
