About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to manage and oversee auxiliary and main steam turbine design engineering for nuclear power uprate projects. Responsibilities include handling specifications, modifications, upgrades, and assessments of various turbine types while ensuring turbine performance aligns with overall plant operation. The role requires advanced technical problem‑solving, deep knowledge of steam turbines, and expertise in applicable industry codes and regulations. • Provide technical expertise for turbine and power plant engineering analysis and program development. • Act as turbine subject‑matter expert, offering consultation on engineering projects. • Identify, communicate, and resolve equipment procurement, reliability, and system issues. • Lead short‑term and long‑term engineering projects that impact site operations. • Ensure design accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while adhering to codes and standards. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify procurement, and reduce costs. • Communicate with turbine OEMs, specialty consultants, and project teams to ensure successful implementation. • Participate in emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage support activities as required.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science, a professional engineer license or SRO license, and at least five years of engineering experience with one year in a nuclear power plant. Access and medical clearance requirements apply. Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience, an advanced technical degree, five years of steam turbine engineering experience, and familiarity with power‑plant thermal performance assessment. • Maintain a bachelor's degree in engineering, chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear fields; PE or SRO license preferred. • Possess at least five years of engineering experience, including one year in a nuclear power plant environment. • Meet minimum access requirements and pass requisite medical examinations for the position. • Prefer supervisory or managerial experience and advanced technical education or coursework. • Prefer five years of steam turbine engineering experience and expertise in power plant thermal performance assessment.
