About the Role
• Draft and develop construction documents, reports, and other deliverables with senior staff support. • Assist senior architects in creating schematics, renderings, and sketches to realize design concepts. • Visit job sites for surveys, client meetings, and construction administration activities. • Coordinate with junior staff and designers to optimize resource use. • Provide solutions for software utilization, processes, and procedures related to the role. • Apply code requirements, accessibility standards, client programs, construction detailing, and material specifications. • Plan and coordinate permitting and approval documentation supporting design intent. • Adhere to corporate quality control standards and verify own work for accuracy and completeness. • Coordinate with other in‑house engineering disciplines as needed. • Maintain active architecture licensure through required LUs.

What You Bring
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Architect I to join our Cary, NC office. The role requires a fully competent architect proficient in all conventional aspects of architecture, capable of independently handling moderate‑size, moderately complex projects, performing design analyses, preparing specifications, and reviewing reports, plans, estimates, and calculations. • Professional architecture degree from an accredited institution, licensed architect, and at least three years of relevant experience (3‑5 years). • Highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD Architecture 2022, with ability to annotate plans and details. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Proficient in the firm’s 3D rendering software to generate renderings and apply materials and finishes. • Actively pursuing LEED accreditation and participating in industry events. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job‑related communications.
