About the Role

The role involves achieving annual sales, gross margin and market share targets, leading and growing an assigned territory through existing and new accounts, routinely calling on mechanical contractors, engineering firms and facility owners, and supporting bid‑day operations and post‑sale order entry. Additional duties include executing take‑offs and quotes, promoting Carrier’s product line at trade shows and marketing events, assisting with project management after equipment shipment, and handling cash collection and accounts receivable responsibilities. • Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets. • Grow assigned territory by acquiring new accounts and nurturing existing relationships. • Conduct regular visits to mechanical contractors, engineering firms, and facility owners/developers. • Support customers through bid‑day operations, post‑sale submittals, and order entry. • Perform take‑offs, prepare quotes, and promote Carrier product line at trade shows and events. • Manage projects after shipment, including cash collection and accounts receivable.

What You Bring

The company is seeking an experienced HVAC Sales Engineer to market and sell Carrier Applied and Industrial HVAC products and solutions to current and potential customers within a defined region. The role combines technical knowledge with strong social skills, requires dynamic communication, openness to raise issues, and offers training and support from an experienced sales team. Basic qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years HVAC sales experience or an Associate’s degree with 4+ years, plus a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include a BS in Engineering or related field, experience with applied HVAC equipment, knowledge of HVAC design tools, controls experience, PE certification or LEED AP, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce or equivalent CRM. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years HVAC sales experience (or Associate’s with 4+ years) and a valid driver’s license. • Possess technical background (BS in Engineering, HVAC design tools, controls) and certifications (PE, LEED AP) preferred. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer‑focus skills, proficient in MS Office and CRM systems like Salesforce.
