About the Role
In this role you will provide input during the design phase, create C&I commissioning plans, and write commissioning procedures based on engineering designs. What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial maintenance and fault‑finding on safety‑critical products in regulated sectors such as oil & gas, aerospace or nuclear. Required skills include proficiency in PLC control systems, I/O testing and basic PLC programming, understanding of instrumentation and output signals, and the ability to interpret design documents (P&IDs, cause‑and‑effect tables). Experience with de‑energized electrical checks, ELV/LV equipment and distributed control systems is essential; experience with hot and pressurised water systems is advantageous. A HND/Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required. Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Security Check clearance and be a UK national (or dual national approved by the MoD). The position is graded at level 7‑9 with salary dependent on experience, and forms part of Rolls‑Royce’s multi‑year transformation programme aimed at building a high‑performing, competitive and resilient company. • Electrical engineering background with experience in industrial maintenance and safety‑critical environments. • Proficient in PLC control systems, I/O testing and basic PLC programming for fault finding. • Knowledge of instrumentation, P&ID interpretation, and de‑energized electrical checks. • Familiarity with LV/ELV equipment and distributed control systems; advantage with hot‑pressurized water systems. • HND/Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; security clearance support for UK nationals.
