About the Role
The Process Engineer I role is a full‑time, hands‑on position reporting to the Director of East Coast Engineering. Working M‑F, 8 am‑5 pm, you will complete well‑defined process engineering tasks and collaborate with project teams to meet schedule, budget, and scope requirements. Key responsibilities include producing process deliverables such as block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, PSV calculations, operating procedures, flare studies, and equipment datasheets. You will perform QA/QC checks, participate in department meetings and training, and support interdisciplinary design reviews, kickoff sessions, and weekly status reports while tracking project deadlines and budgets. • Produce process engineering deliverables (BFD, PFD, P&ID, PSV sizing, operating procedures). • Conduct process simulations and equipment sizing using HYSYS, UniSim, ProMax, or VMG Symmetry. • Perform QA/QC reviews and incorporate redline comments on deliverables. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and attend project kickoff and status meetings. • Develop design basis documents, line lists, and control valve datasheets. • Prepare flare studies, cause‑and‑effect analyses, and safety valve calculations. • Maintain project schedules, flag budget issues, and compile project close‑out job books. • Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Apply problem‑solving techniques to resolve simple engineering issues quickly.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering and be proficient with HYSYS, UniSim, ProMax, VMG Symmetry, and Excel. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, basic self‑direction, and the ability to lead small work groups. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are also required. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
