About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The technician also installs, maintains, and repairs automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians. The technician will help keep equipment running, uphold safety standards, and support overall operations. Work schedules are flexible, may include long shifts, weekends, nights or holidays, and can involve up to 20 % travel. • Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. • Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment with proper documentation. • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in belts, motors, sensors, and relays. • Maintain positive relationships across the operations facility. • Manage and record department inventory. • Lift and move items up to 49 lb; stand, walk, and work up to 12‑hour shifts. • Travel to other sites up to 20 % of the time. • Work in confined spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, and on concrete surfaces for long periods. • Handle wheeled equipment up to 100 lb and maneuver bulky components.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, nights, holidays. • Minimum 2 years experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting predictive/preventative maintenance. • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical or electrical technology. • Experience with automated conveyor systems, controls, and reading blueprints/electrical schematics. • Familiarity with OEM safety standards, CMMS, and robotic/electromechanical maintenance. • Knowledge of basic input/output troubleshooting. • Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and walking required. • Lift parts/tools averaging 20 lb, occasionally up to 49 lb.
