About the Role
The Associate Counsel provides legal support for the company's compliance with federal, state and local labor and employment laws, covering EEO, traditional labor, OSHA/health and safety, leave, wage and hour, prevailing wage, immigration, and labor contract negotiations. The role also represents the company in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and union grievance‑arbitration hearings, and advises management on a wide range of labor and employment matters. The incumbent is expected to work independently on moderate to high‑complexity matters, manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and deliver verbal and written presentations to management regarding compliance with new and existing laws. • Provide legal support for compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including EEO, OSHA, leave, wage‑hour, prevailing wage, immigration, and labor‑contract matters. • Represent the company in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. • Appear at union grievance‑arbitration hearings and support dispute resolution. • Counsel management on a wide variety of labor and employment law issues. • Work independently on moderate‑to‑high complexity matters and manage complex projects. • Meet deadlines and deliver verbal and written presentations on compliance with new and existing laws.
