About the Role
The Accounting Assistant will partner with Project Accountants to handle client invoicing, monitor accounts receivable, process payments, and manage vendor inquiries. Duties include preparing monthly invoices, collecting unpaid balances, evaluating cash applications, processing accounts payable, entering data into accounting systems, reviewing contracts, and providing general accounting support. • Support Project Accountants with internal and external client requests. • Prepare and send monthly invoices, including expense backup and timesheet details. • Monitor and follow up on unpaid invoices to collect accounts receivable. • Evaluate incoming payments and ensure accurate cash application. • Process accounts payable, overhead invoices, check requests, and respond to vendor inquiries. • Enter data into internal and external accounting systems and maintain cash receipt backup. • Review client contracts for accurate project setup and manage electronic documents. • Provide general accounting support as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of accounting experience or coursework. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, while Deltek CostPoint knowledge is a plus; strong communication, professionalism, teamwork, and multitasking abilities are essential. • High school diploma or equivalent plus 1+ years of accounting experience or coursework. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Deltek CostPoint proficiency is a plus. • Strong professionalism, people skills, and ability to work effectively in a deadline‑driven environment. • Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork abilities.
