About the Role
The Sales Trainer for the Great Lakes Area (GLA) will develop and train Sr. Account Executives (outside sales) and Account Executives (inside sales) across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, preferably based near Detroit with headquarters in Plymouth, MI. The role requires at least 50 % travel and offers flexibility to work from home when not on the road or visiting offices. Reporting to the Area Sales Director or their designee, this position drives efficiency improvements and profitable revenue growth while delivering training and development for both Inside and Outside Sales Teams. Key responsibilities include designing and delivering training programs focused on communication, active listening, objection handling, and consultative selling; providing both formal training sessions and informal coaching; assessing training needs from field and leadership input; continuously evaluating and updating programs; offering structured feedback to representatives and managers; maintaining a training cadence aligned with sales cycles; and facilitating workshops on negotiation, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence. • Design and deliver training on communication, active listening, objection handling, and consultative selling. • Provide formal training sessions and informal coaching for inside and outside sales representatives. • Assess training needs and develop or update programs based on field and leadership feedback. • Facilitate workshops on negotiation, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence. • Deliver structured feedback to reps and managers to support continuous improvement. • Maintain a training cadence aligned with sales cycles and business priorities.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an accredited Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), a high‑school diploma or GED with four years of relevant experience, and at least two years of direct B2B sales experience. Preferred qualifications include two or more years of sales‑training experience and familiarity with Salesforce.com. The role combines work‑from‑home, in‑field training, and office environments, requiring use of standard office equipment and occasional travel by air, for which a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative is needed. • Require at least 50% travel; ability to work from home when not on the road. • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 4 years relevant experience, including 2 years B2B sales. • Preferred: 2+ years sales‑training experience and familiarity with Salesforce.com.
