About the Role

• Lead safety culture, investigate incidents and mentor staff toward an injury‑free environment. • Manage client and project team communication and issue escalation for low‑voltage scopes. • Coordinate technology design and construction to meet constructability, quality, financial, and technical standards. • Oversee staff, low‑voltage subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for project portions. • Develop work plans for low‑voltage subcontractors and self‑performed work. • Control care, custody, and management of assigned low‑voltage scope. • Create, adjust, and implement project schedules in partnership with the Aptitude Project Manager. • Track and monitor project budgets and costs using the project management system. • Communicate key project information to owners, design teams, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Update drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks. • Approve unit cost information for weekly reports and complete daily and tracking reports. • Evaluate progress on self‑perform work and make necessary adjustments. • Manage material and equipment needs for the project. • Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for low‑voltage system installation. • Approve timecards to ensure accurate hours and proper cost coding. • Coordinate with trades to install conduit, pathway, and back‑box infrastructure before cabling. • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC standards, and external resources. • Support project closeouts by supervising pre‑punch activities and coordinating with owners, architects, and authorities. • Participate in new project pursuit processes and pre‑plan development with field operations leadership. • Partner with leadership to establish local workforce and with project management to assess schedule and cost impacts of changes. • Prepare and present at project review meetings, including monthly reviews. • Apply terms and conditions of owner and subcontractor contracts. • Promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring non‑discrimination policies are actively implemented. • Manage fairly complex projects from start to finish, assuming responsibility for scheduling, production, quality, and safety. • Identify, understand, and actively manage project risks for assigned scopes. • Engage trade partners as needed to execute scopes of work. • Configure and program project‑to‑project software for testing and troubleshooting. • Perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. • Apply fundamentals of construction management, Lean processes, and project procedures. • Build relationships and collaborate effectively within internal and external teams.

The role offers a Professional Non‑Union benefits package and aligns with JE Dunn’s equal‑opportunity and accommodation policies. • Use experience to identify problems and recommend solutions for team implementation. • Understand low‑voltage systems including structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, AV, building automation, nurse call, infant security, RTLS, phone, and network electronics. • Work across multiple vertical markets and possess extensive knowledge of low‑voltage system connections. • Demonstrate intermediate verbal and written communication skills and conduct effective presentations. • Maintain intermediate proficiency in MS Office and JE Dunn construction technology. • Know specific trades, low‑voltage scopes, self‑perform labor productivity, and budget management to maximize profitability. • Understand blueprint drawings and the impact of document changes on schedules. • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute. • Experience: 5+ years construction experience; 5+ years in Division 8/23/25/27/28 low‑voltage systems; 3+ years field supervision; 5+ years project management (preferred). • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lb, occasional travel/relocation, exposure to extreme conditions, non‑traditional hours; frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling; occasional sitting and computer work.
