About the Role
The Talent Specialist reports to the HR Manager and is classified as exempt. This role is integral to the HR team, responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across JHL Constructors. The specialist leads full‑cycle recruiting for a diverse mix of hourly, salaried, field, and office positions, partnering closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure a consistent candidate experience. Success requires strong organization, confident bilingual communication (English and Spanish), and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment. • Lead end‑to‑end recruiting for hourly, salaried, field, and office roles. • Conduct intake meetings to define role requirements and hiring timelines. • Design and execute proactive sourcing strategies using direct outreach and online tools. • Screen resumes, perform phone and in‑person interviews, and assess candidate fit. • Coordinate interview schedules and maintain communication with candidates and managers. • Participate in workforce planning and communicate upcoming hiring needs to HR. • Build and sustain talent pipelines for current and future openings. • Manage job postings, applicant data, and compliance within BambooHR. • Facilitate smooth offer acceptance, onboarding, and 30/60/90‑day integration plans. • Oversee external recruiting agency contracts for cost‑effectiveness and alignment with hiring strategy. • Maintain relationships with recruiting agencies supporting the company’s talent goals. • Support campus recruiting, career fairs, internships, and partnerships with universities such as Colorado School of Mines and CSU.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or a related field, be bilingual in English and Spanish, and possess at least five years of recruiting experience, preferably with three years in general‑contractor construction. Familiarity with BambooHR, employment‑law compliance, and full‑cycle recruiting tools is preferred, along with strong interviewing, communication, and time‑management skills. • Bilingual English/Spanish with professional written and verbal communication. • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience; 3+ years in construction preferred. • Experience with BambooHR and LinkedIn Talent Specialist preferred. • Knowledge of employment laws (EEO, fair hiring, documentation) and recruitment compliance. • Strong interviewing, candidate evaluation, and relationship‑building abilities. • Proficient in ATS and recruiting tools; organized with excellent time‑management. • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
