About the Role
You will build personal capabilities through assessments, formal and informal training, coaching, and ongoing education on technology, regulations, and best practices. Adhering to the organization’s health, safety, and environment policies, you will identify and mitigate risks, promote safe working methods, and address risky behaviors. Key duties include collecting and analyzing data, preparing detailed reports and documents, supporting client relationship management, contributing to environmental risk and impact assessments, performing sampling and testing, assisting with bid solicitations and tender preparation, and supporting project management activities. You will also engage in a community of practice to develop expertise in your area. • Conduct research and investigations to identify and mitigate environmental pollutants. • Collect, synthesize, and analyze data on air, water, soil, food, and other media. • Produce accurate reports and prepare complex documents using standard software. • Support senior staff in managing client and customer relationships. • Contribute to environmental risk management aligned with regulations and sustainability goals. • Perform sampling and testing to support regulatory compliance. • Assist with environmental impact assessments following established protocols. • Gather information and assist in drafting bid solicitations, RFPs, and tenders. • Provide support for various project management activities. • Participate in personal capability building through training, coaching, and industry learning. • Follow HSE policies, identify workplace risks, and promote safe practices. • Engage in a community of practice to develop expertise in a defined area.

What You Bring
At GHD we are seeking a Graduate Environmental Professional to join the CAR team at our Lake Charles, LA office. In this role you will conduct research and investigations to identify, abate, or eliminate sources of pollutants that affect the environment or public health, using scientific knowledge to collect, synthesize, study, and report data from air, food, soil, water, and other media. We require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science and 0‑2 years of related experience.
