About the Role
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying leads, prospecting, and selling new and profitable business within an assigned geographic area. This role sells the full suite of Republic Services products, including small and large containers for municipal solid waste and recycling, as well as electronic and universal recycling. The executive meets regularly with prospective clients to deliver sales presentations, follow up with key decision makers, and provide total waste‑stream management solutions. Key responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, using Salesforce daily to schedule activities and create detailed prospect profiles, and following up on inbound leads within two hours. The Account Executive delivers sales presentations, conducts cold‑calling blocks to set appointments, and cross‑sells additional services such as comprehensive waste‑stream management. Ongoing tasks involve monitoring market and competitive trends, completing customer service agreements and paperwork promptly, meeting weekly with the sales manager to review performance, and representing the company at trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and community functions. • Identify and prospect new commercial, industrial, and recycling accounts within assigned territory • Follow up on inbound leads within two hours and log tasks in Salesforce • Deliver sales presentations and close deals with key decision makers • Perform daily cold‑calling blocks to schedule appointment meetings • Track market trends and competitive activity to anticipate customer needs • Cross‑sell total waste‑stream management solutions and additional services • Complete customer service agreements and required paperwork promptly • Meet weekly with sales manager to review performance and retention activities • Represent Republic Services at trade shows, chamber events, and community functions

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least two years of direct selling experience in a customer‑facing role, a valid driver’s license, and preferably experience in the waste or service industry. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to identify and address customer needs, and a proactive approach to building relationships. • Minimum two years direct sales experience and a valid driver’s license
