About the Role

The role involves complex duties such as assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, testing, repair, overhaul, modification, and general maintenance of electrical equipment removed from larger marine systems. The electrician will also perform other assigned tasks and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods. • Perform assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, testing, repair, overhaul, and modification of marine electrical equipment. • Work outdoors for extended periods and complete other assigned tasks.

What You Bring

Candidates need an AA degree in electrical engineering or a related field, eight years of relevant experience, and completion of the Navy Electrical Repair Course or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of electrical and electronic circuitry, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles, wire color codes, schematics, and technical orders is required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and base access. • Possess an AA degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) and at least eight years of related experience. • Complete the Navy Electrical Repair Course or an equivalent training program. • Demonstrate deep knowledge of electrical/electronic circuitry, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles, and ability to read wiring diagrams and technical orders. • Be a U.S. citizen eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) and base access.
