About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician role leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects, and mentors service and contract technicians. Daily duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, leading and auditing preventative maintenance procedures, installing and troubleshooting relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids, as well as creating and closing work orders with labor, equipment, and parts data. The role also develops training plans for service technicians and work plans for emergency repair of critical assets, requiring the ability to lift up to 49 lb, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and travel up to 20 % of the time. • Lead service technicians in installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage maintenance projects. • Mentor and train service and contract technicians. • Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and related control components. • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures. • Create, update, and close work orders with labor, equipment, and parts data. • Develop training plans and emergency repair work plans for critical assets. • Perform repetitive bending, lift up to 49 lb, and stand/walk 12‑hour shifts in varied environments, including heights and confined spaces.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of preventative maintenance experience, 3+ years of blueprint and schematic reading, and 2+ years of work‑order management. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, 5+ years with automated conveyors and controls, leadership and vendor‑management experience, robotic maintenance expertise, and familiarity with CMMS and material handling equipment safety standards. • Travel up to 20 % of the time. • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in mechanical/electrical preferred. • 3+ years preventative maintenance experience. • 3+ years reading blueprints and schematics. • 2+ years work‑order management experience. • 5+ years experience with automated conveyors and controls (preferred). • Leadership, vendor‑management, and robotic maintenance experience (preferred). • Familiarity with CMMS and MHE safety standards (preferred).
