About the Role
The Structural Engineer 1 role is a hands‑on, full‑time position reporting to the Director of East Coast Engineering. The employee works a standard M‑F schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional overtime, and may travel up to 20 % of the time to project sites. • Execute structural calculations for equipment foundations, towers, building structures, pipe racks, and platforms. • Coordinate with discipline engineers, designers, and vendors to develop site layouts and review drawings. • Produce structural analysis reports and write specifications for pre‑engineered metal buildings and geotechnical aspects. • Collaborate with AutoCAD designers to generate 3D models and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy. • Create contractor scopes, bid packages, and bills of material, and review shop drawings. • Respond to contractor RFIs and provide construction support throughout project execution.

What You Bring
The work environment is a typical office setting with frequent interruptions and distractions, requiring strong focus and communication. Physical demands include regular sitting and use of hands, frequent talking and hearing, occasional standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb, as well as the visual abilities needed for detailed design work. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (entry‑level position, no prior experience required). • Possess excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and self‑direction skills. • Demonstrate basic leadership abilities and proficiency with engineering software and technology. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
