What You Bring

The ideal candidate is a recognized expert in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and engineering design, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams on large, complex projects. Responsibilities will span flood risk analysis, stormwater master planning, transportation drainage, dam safety evaluations, and stream and ecosystem restoration for local, state, and federal clients across Texas and the Gulf Coast. Successful applicants will have cultivated strong relationships with agencies such as TxDOT, the Texas Water Development Board, the Texas General Land Office, TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, and various municipal partners. These connections are essential for delivering high‑quality water‑resources solutions and expanding AECOM’s presence in the region. We seek a leader who inspires senior business and project stakeholders, communicates with confidence, and models AECOM’s cultural values. The role demands strategic thinking, results‑focused execution, and the ability to build high‑performance teams while driving innovation and commercial growth. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, at least ten years of relevant experience, and a Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Preferred credentials are a master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, Certified Floodplain Manager certification, and extensive leadership experience. Proficiency with H&H software, strong interpersonal skills, and public presentation ability are also valued. • Hold a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent). • Hold a Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. • Preferred: Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering. • Preferred: Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) credential. • Preferred: 5+ years of leadership experience and 15+ years of related experience. • Demonstrated expertise in H&H software and modeling. • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop a client base.
