About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, delivering prompt, courteous waste removal services while ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards and complies with all applicable regulations. The driver completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Responsibilities include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, reading route sheets, and servicing each customer along the designated route. The driver operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at the proper facility, and monitors the vehicle and waste for safety issues throughout the shift. The role requires courteous interaction with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers, tagging unsatisfactory containers, cleaning spills according to safety policies, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Drivers must meet productivity standards, complete required reports, and actively participate in the company’s ReSOP safety program.
