About the Role
The Superintendent will oversee project schedules, review construction documents for completeness and constructability, develop site logistics, and manage tools and equipment. They will coach and develop team members, conduct orientations and site meetings, and ensure effective communication across diverse organizational levels. • Plan and implement project schedules, ensuring materials, equipment, and inspections support the timeline. • Review construction documents for completeness, constructability, and coordinate with design engineers. • Develop and manage site logistics plans, utilizing tools and equipment effectively. • Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct orientations, planning sessions, and site meetings. • Oversee task coding, track work progress, and provide training and career development discussions. • Build effective relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Lead by example, provide coaching, feedback, and manage performance. • Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance; identify and mitigate unfavorable conditions and drive process improvements.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent to coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within a specific discipline area. The role involves developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service, and local candidates are preferred. Candidates can apply for either Superintendent I or II levels based on experience, with compensation determined by experience and location. Applicants must hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or have ten years of trade experience, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to manage multiple complex projects from development through closeout. Strong communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, knowledge of construction law, and the ability to travel up to 100% are required. • Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or have 10 years of trade experience. • Minimum of 8 years of construction management or related experience. • Maintain a valid driver’s license. • Ability to manage multiple complex projects from development through closeout. • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. • Basic knowledge of construction law and business practices. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate level). • Strong customer service, communication, and active‑listening skills. • Willingness to travel up to 100% as required. • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans.

Benefits
Minimum qualifications include eight years of construction management experience. Salary ranges are $111,400‑$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100‑$195,200 for Superintendent II, with location‑based adjustments. The position qualifies for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
