About the Role
In this position you will help clients stay compliant with occupational health, safety, construction, and environmental regulations by conducting field assessments, monitoring programs, and detailed documentation. Tasks include building assessments for asbestos, lead, and mould, on‑site oversight of remediation projects, occupational exposure assessments, indoor air and water quality investigations, fibre sample analysis, and preparation of clear technical reports. • Conduct building assessments for asbestos, lead, and mould using hand tools and ladders. • Provide on‑site inspection and oversight during hazardous material remediation projects, including contractor monitoring and air sampling. • Perform occupational exposure assessments for chemical, biological, and physical hazards. • Carry out indoor air quality and potable water investigations and document findings. • Analyze airborne fibre samples and report results for asbestos and related programs. • Prepare technically sound reports and data summaries based on comprehensive field notes. • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors. • Apply solid understanding of Ontario occupational health, safety, construction, and environmental legislation.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene Technician to support clients across the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Southwestern Ontario. The role offers a flexible hybrid work environment with frequent travel to project sites and office locations throughout Ontario. The ideal candidate holds a college diploma or university degree in occupational hygiene, environmental science, or a related field, and brings consulting experience or equivalent knowledge. A solid understanding of Ontario health, safety, and environmental legislation, experience with hazardous material surveys, strong Excel skills, and comfort using hand tools and lifting up to 50 lb are required. Candidates must be self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively, have a personal vehicle with a clean Driver’s Abstract, and be eligible for Federal Reliability or Secret Clearance. • Hold a college diploma or university degree in occupational hygiene, environmental science, or a related discipline. • Demonstrate consulting experience or equivalent knowledge in occupational hygiene or environmental fields. • Experience with hazardous material surveys, asbestos abatement monitoring, mould or lead assessments preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for managing sampling results and field data. • Comfortable using hand tools, ladders, and lifting equipment up to 50 lb. • Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. • Willingness to travel frequently across the GTA and Ontario, with personal vehicle and clean Driver’s Abstract. • Eligibility for Federal Reliability and/or Secret Clearance status.
