About the Role
The Quality Engineer will work within a team to support quality activities, developing, implementing and maintaining various quality management initiatives. Responsibilities include liaising with internal and external customers, training staff on self‑certification approval status, and auditing processes and products. The role involves creating and applying Quality Engineering tools such as SPC, Gauge R&R, FMEA, Six Sigma, attribute charts and control plans to support business objectives. The engineer will compile and present KPI reports for monthly/weekly management quality reviews, investigate and resolve quality issues, and manage product recalls as required by regulatory or customer demands. Participation in design reviews, new product introductions, and the upkeep of company documentation and certifying staff training is also required. • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management initiatives. • Liaise with internal and external customers and train staff on self‑certification. • Perform audits of processes and products and maintain the audit schedule. • Create and apply Quality Engineering tools (SPC, Gauge R&R, FMEA, Six Sigma, attribute charts, control plans). • Compile and present KPI reports for monthly/weekly management quality reviews. • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including managing product recalls to meet regulatory requirements. • Participate in design reviews and new product introductions. • Maintain company documentation and train certifying staff. • Manage and support ISO 9001, EASA Part 21, and other customer‑specific approvals.

What You Bring
The position requires undertaking business system and product audits according to the programmed audit schedule, and maintaining company approvals including BS EN ISO 9001, EASA Part 21, AS EN 9001 and other customer‑specific certifications. Support for the self‑certification program and strong practical experience with Excel, Word, Access, and rapid learning of business software are essential. Candidates should demonstrate proven verbal and written communication skills, with an HNC/Degree preferred, though relevant experience may substitute formal education. • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access and able to quickly learn new business software. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. • HNC/Degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute formal education.
