Job Highlights
About the Role
The manager will lead on‑site service activities, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and respond to service calls within a 24‑hour window seven days a week. They will maintain compliance with FDA, Radiation Safety, OSHA, and internal policies, manage tools, calibration, budget, inventory, and spare‑part usage, and approve operational documents such as purchase orders and invoices. • Manage contracted on‑site service activities, including observation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and countermeasures. • Lead and support Site Service Managers across U.S. locations and assist the division manager with operational duties. • Improve uptime for site PBT systems and ensure high customer and clinician satisfaction. • Maintain compliance with FDA, Radiation Safety, OSHA, and all relevant regulations and internal policies. • Respond to service support calls within 24 hours, 7 days a week. • Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance following the Quality Management System (QMS). • Maintain tools and equipment, monitor calibration schedules, and ensure proper condition. • Control budget, inventory, and spare‑part usage to minimize costs and maximize effectiveness. • Direct employees to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and submit detailed work documentation promptly. • Approve operational documents such as purchase orders, invoices, QA records, inventory controls, and employee timecards. • Educate staff on safety practices, foster a positive work environment, and build a high‑performing team. • Schedule employee shifts, manage work time, and oversee daily work activities. • Communicate effectively with Japanese engineers to troubleshoot and improve system performance. • Incorporate new technologies, products, and processes into routine operations. • Perform bookkeeping responsibilities related to the site’s service activities.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with at least three years of experience in organization management, budgeting, and equipment design or engineering, and one year of medical‑device engineering experience. Required skills include team leadership, customer relations, technical troubleshooting, reading complex engineering drawings, safety procedures, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel. Flexibility for night shifts and overtime is essential, and Japanese language ability is a plus.
