Motorgrader Foreman

About the Role

Operates self-propelled grader to spread and level dirt, gravel, and stone, to grade specifications in construction and maintenance of earthwork structures. Conducts safety and maintenance checks on assigned equipment and machinery. Starts engines, moves throttles, switches, levers, and depresses pedals to operate machines. Signals the truck driver to position the truck for loading dirt, rocks, and other materials. Takes actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, and falling objects. Performs maintenance work on equipment including oiling, greasing, and making necessary adjustments while adhering to the company’s safety policies and procedures. • Perform safety inspections and routine maintenance on grading equipment. • Operate self‑propelled grader to spread and level materials per specifications. • Coordinate with truck drivers to load and transport earthwork materials. • Identify and avoid hazards such as utility lines, equipment, and falling debris. • Conduct oiling, greasing, and adjustments to keep machinery operational.

What You Bring

Requires 2 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to meet the physical requirements, which involve sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions such as rain, snow, and heat. • Meet physical demands: lift up to 50 lb, work at heights, in confined spaces, and all weather conditions. • Possess at least two years of relevant experience or equivalent education/training.
