Inside Sales/Delivery Driver

About the Role

The role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and generating new sales opportunities. You will respond to order and quotation requests received over the counter, by outside sales representatives, telephone, email, or fax, and handle order entry and processing. Key duties include greeting customers, upselling related products and promotions, and developing partnerships to become a first‑choice supplier. You will analyze the market, champion sales initiatives, answer questions about accounts and products, process quotes and orders, restock merchandise, maintain showroom cleanliness, and operate the delivery van for stock pickups and deliveries. • Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, email, and fax. • Upsell related products, promotions, and extensions. • Build and maintain relationships to position White Cap as a first‑choice supplier. • Analyze market trends and drive sales initiatives to grow share and profitability. • Respond to customer inquiries about accounts, products, rates, and services. • Process, quote, and enter orders; pull orders and provide order status. • Restock merchandise, arrange shelves, and maintain showroom cleanliness. • Operate delivery van for stock pickups and deliveries. • Follow prescribed processes and seek supervisor guidance for non‑routine issues.

What You Bring

Work is performed under close supervision, following clearly prescribed rules, with guidance sought for non‑routine issues. The environment is a comfortable indoor area with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, noise, or bright lights, and requires standing, walking, and lifting moderate weights (8‑40 lb). No travel is required. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, with 0‑2 years of relevant experience. Minimum pay is $21.15 per hour.
