About the Role
The role involves developing and executing comprehensive business development plans, building strong relationships with key decision‑makers, conducting market research, creating compelling sales proposals, and negotiating large deals while ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability. Product management responsibilities include providing effective leadership for product development, meeting short‑ and long‑term deadlines, representing BAS market trends in India, contributing to new product introduction projects, identifying customer needs and competitive intelligence, and acting as the product marketing expert to define vertical markets and develop requirement roadmaps. You will deliver product financial results by setting clear market share, price, and margin targets, managing product launches with channel leadership, performing customer profitability analysis, and creating strategic plans based on end‑user, distributor, and OEM needs, accompanied by robust business cases and financial plans. The incumbent will also serve as a marketplace leader, representing the company in industry and customer associations, delivering presentations at key events, and acting as the senior liaison for major customer accounts. What You Bring
Senior Product Manager based in India reports to the APAC Product Management Lead and oversees the BAS & Controls portfolio. This unique position combines business development expertise with product management acumen, allowing you to identify and capitalize on market opportunities while shaping the future of our product offerings. Required qualifications include excellent communication and presentation skills, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least ten years of experience in business development or product management within the BAS & Controls or related B2B technology sector, a proven record of building growth strategies, strong analytical and computer skills, the ability to work under stress, and willingness to travel up to 30‑50%. • Excellent communication skills, including professional writing and presentation abilities in local language and English. • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering. • Minimum ten years of experience in business development, product management, or a combination in the BAS & Controls industry or related B2B technology sector. • Experience leading and forming business growth strategies and translating them into offering roadmaps. • Strong computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite. • Ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant, cooperative temperament with internal and external customers. • Proven ability to drive growth and change in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey technical and non‑technical concepts clearly. • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities. • Proactive, organized, and capable of handling work under stressful and uncertain environments.
