About the Role

The company is hiring a Field Engineer for a project site in midtown Manhattan. In this role you will support overall project execution, assist senior managers, and ensure effective coordination of technical documentation. Frequent interaction with owners, designers, architects, and engineers is essential to keep the schedule and issues under control. • Participate in project safety programs, observations, and audits. • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project tasks. • Identify and promote productivity and quality improvement changes. • Communicate project schedule, issues, and activities with owners, designers, architects, and engineers. • Develop RFIs, work plans, and submittals. • Track and report work quantities and associated costs. • Prepare time‑and‑material final pricing submittals. • Support CPM schedule development and maintenance. • Maintain as‑built drawings with field staff assistance. • Perform project‑specific tasks assigned by senior management. • Convey contract scope to field personnel. • Interface with fabricators, subcontractors, and owners to resolve design, procurement, and constructability issues. • Coordinate contract, design, and shop drawings to ensure constructible structures. • Collaborate with design and construction engineers to develop thorough means‑and‑methods. • Accurately calculate current and final project costs through completion.

What You Bring

• Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from an accredited institution. • Possess 6+ years of experience in structural steel erection, heavy civil, bridge, vertical construction, or similar steel structures. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Proficient in Blue Beam or comparable industry software. • Proficient in AutoCAD or comparable drafting tools. • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $120,000 to $160,000, depending on experience. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future, and staffing agency candidates will not be considered.
