CDL Container Driver

About the Role

Job Summary: Safely operate a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes. Drivers are responsible for transporting containers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and completing route assignments efficiently. • Operate vehicle per OSHA, DOT, and company standards; maintain a clean, safe truck. • Conduct pre- and post-trip DVIR inspections; report issues for corrective repair. • Immediately report unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, or property damage to Route Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers and perform duties as directed by Route Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests/issues; handle blocked containers or missed pick‑ups. • Dump containers, clean the site, correctly position containers, and replace lids. • Complete and submit customer tickets and end‑of‑route documentation. • Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
