About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing daily operations, financial functions, and staff leadership for a housing community, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair‑housing guidelines while optimizing cash flow and resident satisfaction. • Post and reconcile all resident payments, monitor bad debt, issue notices, and manage evictions to protect cash flow. • Prepare monthly closing procedures, post utility and other charges, and audit resident files for accuracy. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and evaluate onsite staff while ensuring compliance with company policies. • Implement effective leasing techniques, follow marketing plans, handle resident complaints, and run retention programs. • Show, lease, and move in prospective residents, maintaining accurate lease documentation and reporting. • Oversee customer service, monitor maintenance request response times, and conduct regular property inspections. • Manage property resources economically by obtaining vendor bids and supervising operational functions.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma (a bachelor's degree is preferred) and relevant housing‑industry experience, be proficient with onsite software, and possess basic knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations. The role requires prolonged standing or sitting, frequent movement across the property, occasional ladder use, lifting up to 25 lb, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, or night hours for emergencies, as well as operating vehicles or equipment in varied environmental conditions.
