About the Role

The Manager – Accounts Payable will oversee end-to-end AP operations for KBR’s global locations across APAC, Europe and North America, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and controls. Leading a team of more than 25 professionals, including 4-5 direct reports, the role involves guiding, coaching, and developing staff while delivering results, assessing organizational structure, and implementing efficient enhancements. Key duties include initiating and testing new system procedures, securing production sign-offs, engaging senior global stakeholders, managing departmental budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and maintaining strong internal controls and audit liaison. The manager will also oversee performance appraisals, provide ongoing feedback, training, and foster a positive, unbiased work atmosphere, while ensuring up-to-date AP procedures and compliance with tax reporting, global banking platforms, and automated financial systems such as SAP and MS Dynamics. • Lead a 25+ member AP team across three continents. • Oversee invoice processing, expense audit, and payment execution. • Develop and enforce AP policies, internal controls, and SOX compliance. • Drive system enhancements, including testing and production sign-off. • Manage departmental budget, forecasts, and cost variance analysis. • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training for staff. • Ensure compliance with global banking, tax reporting (1099/1042), and IRS notices. • Utilize SAP and MS Dynamics for automated financial reporting. • Maintain continuous improvement mindset and lead process improvements.

What You Bring

Qualifications require a bachelor’s or master’s in commerce, 15+ years of relevant experience with at least five years in an AP managerial role, strong accounting and GAAP knowledge, and preferred CPA status; the candidate must demonstrate KBR’s leadership imperatives, values, continuous-improvement mindset, and ability to work flexibly across time zones and virtual environments.
