Process and issue building permits, assist customers, and ensure compliance at the municipal counter.

About the Role
• Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone. • Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy. • Calculate permit fees. • Process and issue building permits. • Ensure all approval conditions are met before permit issuance. • Assist the public in completing permit applications. • Verify projects have obtained all necessary approvals prior to issuance. • Notify applicants when construction documents or permits are ready for pick-up or issuance. • Coordinate and route construction documents to appropriate staff for plan review and approval. • Resolve resident inquiries and complaints. • Participate in an employee discount program. • Take part in an employee referral program.

What You Bring
• Hold ICC Certification and municipal experience (ICC Permit Technician). • Have at least 1 year of experience as a Permit Technician. • Possess knowledge of various permitting software (a plus). • Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
