Industrial Mechanical Technician

About the Role

The technician will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other rotating equipment, following established standards. Tasks range from supervised to independent work and include developing maintenance procedures and providing work‑order feedback. • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, piping, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment. • Follow PJHA process, observation protocols, and all safety guidelines. • Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, and welding as needed. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders safely. • Work at heights using ladders, platforms, scaffolding, and fall‑protection equipment. • Develop and update preventive‑maintenance standards and work procedures. • Complete work orders, time accounting, and administrative tasks accurately and promptly. • Maintain a documented personal tool inventory supplied by the employer. • Provide positive customer service and maintain good employee relations. • Flexibly cover all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as required.

What You Bring

Core skills include hand and power‑tool use, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, and basic mathematics. The role also requires operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders, as well as safe work at heights using fall‑protection equipment. Safety is paramount, with expectations to follow the PJHA process, observation procedures, and all site safety guidelines. The position demands physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, work continuously, ascend ladders or scaffolding, wear respirators, and tolerate noisy, hot, cold, or humid conditions. Candidates should have at least five years of industrial maintenance experience or four years of related education. A documented personal tool list is required, and the employee must maintain positive customer and coworker relations. • Possess 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or 4+ years of related education.
