About the Role
The Engineering Technology Co‑op Student provides mechanical and/or electrical testing support for new and existing components, working daily with engineering technicians and design engineers to set up, execute, collect data and report on engineering tests. In this role the student will perform testing to meet customer requests, take part in development projects by conducting concept validation, design qualification and manufacturing validation testing, and contribute to reliability testing for new product launches. The position also includes supporting product sustainability and agency teams through test execution, gaining exposure to electrical and mechanical build‑ups and teardowns, and collaborating with global cross‑functional teams. • Perform mechanical/electrical testing to support customer inquiries. • Execute concept validation, design qualification and manufacturing validation tests for development projects. • Conduct reliability testing for new product launch programs. • Support product sustainability engineering and agency teams through test execution. • Participate in electrical and mechanical build‑up and teardown activities. • Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams. • Complete onboarding, safety, lab, soldering and equipment training.

What You Bring
The co‑op will participate in various training activities such as onboarding, safety, monthly lab sessions, soldering and equipment training. Candidates should be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology (or related field), have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate strong communication, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills. Basic mechanical abilities, proficiency with hand tools and Microsoft Office, a self‑directed work ethic and a positive “can‑do” attitude are essential. No prior experience is required and travel is not required. • Pursue an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field with a GPA ≥ 3.0. • Apply strong verbal and written communication, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills. • Utilize basic mechanical skills, hand tools and Microsoft Office suite. • No travel required; work in an English language environment.
