About the Role
The MEP Specialist leads coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades on major construction projects, working closely with the project team to ensure successful completion of all MEP work. • Assist schedulers/site personnel with detailed CPM schedules for MEP installations, including cost and resource loading. • Develop start‑up and commissioning plans for MEP systems with the project team. • Conduct site visits to inspect subcontractor work, note deficiencies, resolve issues, and review change order pricing. • Coordinate materials procurement and activities with the Project Manager and field staff; report progress as needed. • Facilitate 3‑D coordination to resolve conflicts before installation. • Manage commissioning documentation with the CxA, including pre‑functional, start‑up, and functional test checklists. • Lead MEP subcontractors from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to the owner. • Provide warranty support and resolution plans for open items. • Represent Sundt at weekly owner and contractor meetings regarding MEP processes. • Review MEP submittals for compliance with design criteria and contract requirements. • Collaborate with the Superintendent on logistics, temporary facilities, and approve material/equipment before installation. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects. • Sit, stand, or walk short distances for the entire shift.

What You Bring
The position requires the use of personal protective equipment and involves frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and regular interaction with people throughout the workday. • 3–6 years (Step I) or 6–9 years (Step II) experience in construction/MEP coordination. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred. • Experience managing MEP subcontracts and subcontractors. • Understanding of building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes. • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low‑voltage systems. • Step I: ideally 3 years as a Project Engineer; Step II: 6–9 years combined Project Engineer and Superintendent experience on large‑scale projects. • In‑depth knowledge of LEED commissioning credits (Fundamental and Enhanced). • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera P6. • Wear required PPE (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest). • Frequent reaching above shoulder height and below waist; occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending. • Limited use of telephone, computer, and email for communication. • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders. • Frequent grasping, lifting, handling, carrying, or feeling objects. • Frequent interaction with people during the shift.
