About the Role
The Field Service Manager in Lyndhurst, NJ oversees daily operations of a field service team, ensuring timely, high‑quality maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair at customer sites while maintaining safety, quality, and commissioning standards. The role reports to an Operations Manager and partners with Service Central for scheduling, training, and escalation of complex issues. • Manage client communication, coordinate cross‑functional support, and identify growth opportunities. • Oversee technician scheduling, training, and serve as escalation point for complex technical or customer issues. • Conduct at least 12 safety audits per year, ensure Local Law 196 compliance, and coordinate safety training and PPE provision. • Recruit, interview, hire, and develop field service personnel; set performance goals and conduct regular reviews. • Perform field audits, ride‑alongs, quality assurance checks, and assign mentors for employees with less than two years of experience. • Deliver services on time and within budget, monitor account activities, track performance data, and prepare status reports. • Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors, resolve team or stakeholder conflicts, and lead daily field technician activities. • Handle customer inquiries and escalations, manage parts ordering, and hold regular meetings to review performance and identify new opportunities.

What You Bring
• Qualifications: 7+ years building systems experience, 3+ years front‑line field technical role, 2‑4 years people/team leadership, strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and prioritization skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage projects or service accounts, handle high‑pressure situations, and provide consultative problem solving and conflict resolution.

Benefits
The position offers a compensation range of $112,000 to $168,000 per year, based on performance, knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education. This range applies to U.S. candidates and reflects salaries for comparable roles.
