About the Role
The Trader/Sales Representative role directly supports Nucor's raw material advantage by building relationships with scrap and alloy suppliers, purchasing various grades, and brokering them to steel mills at margin. Success requires curiosity about the markets, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships while collaborating with logistics and mill teams. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30‑60% of the time and relocate to any district office based on business needs, all while upholding Nucor's rigorous safety standards. • Develop new business and expand existing supplier and consumer relationships. • Sell and trade ferrous, non‑ferrous metals and ferroalloys, managing margins for steel mills and melt shops. • Interact with customers on supply‑chain management, payment terms, and contract changes to strengthen relationships and profitability.

What You Bring
