About the Role
You will negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long‑term contracts with suppliers to ensure cost‑efficient procurement of goods, services, and supplies. You will manage procurement activities for both customer‑related processes and internal operations, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines, and resolve supplier issues such as defective products or delivery delays. Coordination with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams will be essential to align scheduling and movement of goods, while monitoring supplier performance and contract compliance. Additional duties include processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, updating inventory records, conducting market research, and preparing reports on procurement metrics and savings. • Negotiate terms, discounts, and long‑term contracts with suppliers to achieve cost‑efficient procurement. • Manage procurement for customer‑related and internal processes, adhering to budgets and timelines. • Resolve supplier issues such as defective products or delivery delays, securing refunds or credits. • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams on scheduling and movement of goods. • Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance, applying corrective actions when needed. • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and update inventory records to ensure a seamless supply chain. • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate existing ones for quality and cost. • Prepare reports and analysis on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings. • Ensure all procurement transactions comply with company policies and industry regulations. • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships are essential. Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint or similar ERP systems, experience with federal government contracts and subcontracts, and background in commercial or defense procurement are preferred. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain effective supplier relationships. • Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint or similar ERP systems (preferred). • Experience with federal government contracts and subcontracts (preferred). • Background in commercial or defense procurement with knowledge of contracts (preferred).
