About the Role

In this role you will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. Duties include climbing towers and ladders, erecting various tower types, off‑loading material, preparing sites, and assisting with helicopter, crane, and gin‑pole operations. You will also assemble monopoles, install antennas and transmission lines, work on foundations and grounding, and mentor less‑experienced technicians. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment • Climb towers and ladders; perform tower erection and assist with helicopter, crane, and gin‑pole lifts • Off‑load material, prepare and clean sites, and install new carriers on existing and new towers • Assemble monopole, weld, and knock‑down self‑support and guyed towers • Install microwave parabolic, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas • Install transmission lines, foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguide • Construct tower foundations, grounding systems, and conduit installations with electrical work as needed • Mentor and train less‑experienced technicians • Comply with MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI)

What You Bring

Ideal candidates prioritize safety, have a high school diploma and at least four years of tower experience, and can read and follow technical prints. Physical requirements include climbing towers, lifting 50 lb, and working up to 12 hours per shift. A PWSA certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred, along with knowledge of OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI standards. • Minimum 4 years tower experience with a high school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and follow detailed instructions • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hour shifts • Valid driver’s license; PWSA certification is a plus
