About the Role

The primary purpose of the position is to perform advanced technical and engineering problem solving for Clean Energy Centers, make technical decisions, and apply detailed knowledge of industry codes and regulations. The role is considered a leadership position within the department. • Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through technical expertise and consultation. • Manage engineering issues from task initiation to completion. • Perform engineering tasks applying general engineering principles per supervision. • Ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and proper configuration management of work, adhering to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects. • Recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs, or ensure code compliance. • Participate in emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage support as directed.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications vary by level: entry‑level engineers need a bachelor's in engineering and must meet access and medical requirements; mid‑level engineers require the same degree plus two years of nuclear or related engineering experience; senior engineers require five years of nuclear or related experience. All levels must satisfy access and medical standards. Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer registration, an advanced degree or related coursework, and Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) certification. These credentials strengthen a candidate’s expertise and readiness for the role.
