About the Role

• Lead design of highway alignment, superelevation, barriers and pavement systems. • Develop rigid and flexible pavement designs and signing/marking plans. • Create construction phasing, traffic management and maintenance‑of‑traffic plans. • Identify and resolve utility conflicts through interdisciplinary coordination. • Prepare specifications, cost estimates and 3D CADD models. • Produce technical reports, graphics and client presentations in line with AECOM standards. • Conduct quality control and interdisciplinary technical reviews. • Mentor junior engineers and delegate tasks as a licensed PE in Pennsylvania. • Contribute to staffing decisions, scope development and proposal pricing. • Analyze complex issues, recommend solutions and improve engineering methodologies.

What You Bring

We are seeking a Professional Engineer – Civil Highway to work from our Philadelphia or Conshohocken office in a hybrid role. The PE will provide technical leadership on medium‑ to large‑scale transportation projects across Pennsylvania. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and PE license in Pennsylvania. • Minimum 6 years of highway transportation design experience, including work for PennDOT, PA Turnpike, SEPTA or City of Philadelphia. • Proficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD; preferred experience with OpenRoads, SignCAD, GuideSign, AutoTURN. • Valid US driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check. • Preferred 10+ years of roadway design experience and familiarity with DRPA or DRJTBC projects. • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, mentor staff and demonstrate strong technical and communication skills.
