About the Role

Downer Energy & Utilities has created a new Trade Coach role to mentor field teams across the Northwest‑Central Contract for Powerco. The position can be based in New Plymouth, Hāwera or Whanganui, with regular travel throughout the region. Its primary purpose is to ensure the construction and maintenance of the Powerco network meets the highest technical, safety and compliance standards. Key duties include delivering training sessions and on‑site coaching, facilitating onboarding for new trade staff, and conducting routine and ad‑hoc audits of field work.
