Lead planning policy projects and manage teams for AECOM's UK consultancy.

About the Role
• Lead planning policy projects, including local authority strategies, evidence studies, and infrastructure plans. • Advise clients and internal teams on strategic planning matters. • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders; represent AECOM at conferences and networking events. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery on budget and schedule. • Oversee quality assurance and health‑and‑safety compliance for all planning deliverables. • Contribute to business development by nurturing existing client relationships and preparing commercial tenders. • Produce high‑quality technical reports and communicate findings clearly.

What You Bring
The role requires significant experience in planning policy and strategy, strong client‑relationship skills, a business‑development mindset, excellent technical writing, and a degree in Town Planning with RTPI membership. • Bring a proven track record of winning and managing planning work in consultancy or public‑sector settings. • Possess established relationships with local authorities and a strong client‑focused approach. • Hold a degree in Town Planning (or related) and membership of RTPI or equivalent professional body.
